Are you a highly organized and professional Legal Secretary with a passion for supporting legal teams and driving operational excellence? Our client, a well-established and reputable firm in San Francisco, is seeking a skilled legal professional to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with top-tier attorneys while advancing your legal career in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and memos with accuracy and attention to detail.
Manage attorneys' calendars, including scheduling meetings, depositions, court appearances, and deadlines.
File legal documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing when necessary.
Coordinate communications between attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring all legal documents and records are up-to-date.
Handle administrative tasks such as answering calls, processing expenses, and managing incoming correspondence.
Monitor deadlines and maintain efficient workflow for the team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a litigation-focused environment.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court filing procedures, and document preparation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal software, and e-filing platforms.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with all levels of staff, clients, and external contacts.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced legal setting.
