Job Overview
A distinguished law firm is seeking a Litigation & Antitrust Associate Attorney with approximately 4 years of experience to join its Washington, DC office. This position focuses on a wide range of antitrust matters including government enforcement, merger clearance, and regulatory counseling. Duties
- Advise clients on antitrust issues, including compliance and risk mitigation strategies
- Represent clients in government investigations and enforcement actions
- Manage Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act filings and merger clearance processes
- Participate in antitrust litigation, including drafting motions and preparing discovery
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on complex antitrust matters
- Collaborate with internal legal teams and external regulatory agencies
- Maintain and build client relationships through regular communication and consultation
Requirements
- Approximately 4 years of experience in antitrust law, including:
- Government investigations
- Regulatory counseling
- Merger review and clearance processes
- Experience managing HSR filings strongly preferred
- Prior work with a government agency (e.g., DOJ, FTC) is a plus
- Proven ability to handle substantive case work and manage multiple client matters
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited, top-tier law school
Certifications
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- Admission to the D.C. Bar (or eligibility to waive in)
