Description
A high-end, mid-sized litigation firm in San Francisco is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4+ years of California civil litigation experience to join its dynamic team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role with real autonomy, meaningful case ownership, and support from a firm that blends the resources of Big Law with the close-knit culture of a boutique.
This associate will manage their own caseload and handle a variety of complex civil matters, including:
Securities litigation
Employment litigation
Commercial and financial services litigation
Maritime and general business disputes
The number of assigned matters will depend on the size and complexity of each case. For larger cases, the associate may focus on one or two matters at a time.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage all phases of litigation
Draft substantive motions and legal memoranda
Prepare for trial and arbitration
Collaborate with firm leadership while maintaining ownership over assigned matters
Requirements
Requirements:
Active California Bar license
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Minimum 4 years of civil litigation experience in California
Experience drafting motions, handling appearances, and preparing for trial or arbitration
Ability to run cases independently with minimal oversight
Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite)
