Job Title: Commercial/Personal Injury Litigation Associate

This role involves managing both commercial and personal injury cases from inception through trial.
General Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
- Ability to manage commercial and personal injury cases from start to resolution
- Strong case organization and theory development skills
- Active engagement in case analysis, strategy, and collaboration with the team
- Accurate time tracking and record-keeping
- Willingness to seek guidance on procedural and strategic matters as needed
- First-chair trial experience is a strong plus
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
- Conduct initial client meetings with professionalism, compassion, and understanding
- Utilize sales skills to secure client engagements
- Identify and organize key case issues efficiently
Legal Research & Case Preparation:
- Gather and analyze necessary case information
- Organize initial case data and ensure compliance with disclosure requirement
Demand Letter & Litigation Process:
- Draft well-written and compelling demand letters
- Develop creative and strategic causes of action
- Maintain proficiency in federal and state civil procedures, including managing deadlines
- Draft complaints and oversee case management
- Review client records and maintain communication with clients and adjusters
- Prepare and conduct depositions with strategic questioning
- Draft and respond to RFAs, interrogatories, and requests for production
- Handle trials as first chair, including drafting jury instructions
- Be familiar with the nuances of a PFS
- Trial: Know the rules of evidence, draft jury instructions and lists/verdict sheets, conduct trial as first chair, beginning to end
Additional Skills & Software Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat DC
- Familiarity with Neos (preferred but not required)
