We are looking for a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to join our legal team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting litigation efforts, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and maintaining organized case files. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research and gather relevant case information to support litigation activities.
Prepare and organize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
Manage and maintain case files, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and court personnel to facilitate case progress.
Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and depositions by compiling necessary documentation.
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of filings to courts and other parties.
Review and summarize case details, depositions, and other legal materials for attorney reference.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and tracking case updates.
Requirements
3+ years of complex litigation experience.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and case management.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with court filing systems and e-discovery processes.
