About the Role
The Manager, Editorial Communities role will oversee a growing portfolio of Editorial Communities, supporting over 100,000 Editorial Board Members globally. This role is ideal for someone passionate about research publishing and community engagement, who thrives on building relationships, enhancing user experiences, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure Editors have the support, resources, and networking opportunities to carry out their roles successfully.
This role can be in our New York office on a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day running of Editorial Communities, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and inclusive experience for all users
Collaborate across teams to deliver the Editor Engagement strategy, support platform development, and enhance user engagement
Provide platform and content support to external and internal audiences to ensure that Community members receive the best possible service
Monitor community content in line with policy, using feedback and analytics to inform improvements
Increase the visibility of the Communities and grow the reach of content within the Communities platform
Analyze and report on Community performance and engagement, contributing insights to inform engagement strategies
Build strong relationships with editorial, publishing, and platform teams to align Community efforts with broader organizational goals.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
Experience in STM journal publishing with an understanding of peer review and Editorial Board roles
Demonstrable understanding of the scientific research and publishing landscapes
Experience engaging with researchers and senior stakeholders
Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate across departments
Experience analyzing and reporting on engagement or performance data, using Excel
