About the Role:
The Managing Director, DevSecOps serves as the driving force behind the seamless integration of automation into the development and operational pipeline. This role is responsible for crafting and executing a holistic strategy that ensures continuous build, integration, and testing throughout the entire software lifecycle. The role takes charge of implementing security automation and governance frameworks, acting as a bridge between security and business objectives to ensure that robust protections align with operational efficiency and scalability. The Managing Director plays a central role in streamlining and optimizing the development lifecycle, ensuring efficient collaboration between development and operations teams.
Currently, this is a remote-first position, and this position may be required to periodically work on-site at our office in Herndon, VA, depending on department needs. Candidates must either reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to travel to the office as needed.
How You Contribute:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement DevOps strategies to enhance development efficiency and streamline deployment processes.
- Infrastructure Management: Build, install, configure, and troubleshoot applications across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Code Deployment & Environment Management: Oversee secure code deployment and maintain stable production environments.
- Collaboration & Agile Methodologies: Participate in Kanban and Scrum meetings to plan and prioritize work.
- CI/CD Optimization: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
- System Reliability & Monitoring: Ensure operational excellence through performance optimization and incident management.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized applications with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Jenkins.
- Automation & Tooling: Use tools like Ansible and Python for automation tasks.
- Vendor & Application Support: Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve complex issues.
- Cloud & DevOps Integrations: Enable cloud functionalities with ARM and CloudFormation templates.
- Core Competencies: Demonstrate skills in stakeholder management, innovation, strategic thinking, and understanding the business.

What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in DevOps, cloud management, automation, and related tools.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and management competencies.
- Must reside within a commutable distance to Herndon, VA, or be willing to travel.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged computer use, sitting, and occasional travel.

Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k, paid leave, professional development, and more. Salary range estimated between $215,000 and $245,000, bonus eligible.
