Baskervill is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices throughout the country and in Gdansk, Poland. We are currently looking for a qualified Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of design projects, including Healthcare and Hospitality. As part of our team, you will collaborate with Architects and Interior Designers to deliver exceptional designs to our clients. Let’s talk if you’re interested.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serve as the technical mechanical lead for assigned projects from schematic design through construction.
- Perform or oversee calculations required for design and review specifications.
- Coordinate design efforts with disciplines, consultants, and clients.
- Conduct field work as required.
- Design layouts and collaborate within Revit models.
- Assist in educating and mentoring design staff.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and consultants throughout all project phases.
- Travel may be required for project needs.
What you’ll need:
- At least 5 years of relevant design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- EIT certification required; PE certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Revit, Microsoft Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with heating and cooling load calculations software.
- Experience with Trace 3D Plus and LEED/energy modeling.
