Serve as a team leader and provides direction and feedback to AutoCAD
Technicians, Interns, and Junior Mechanical Designers and support the following projects: Mill Optimization for UG Ores - Phase 1; Sub Project: Grassberg Block Cave Precrusher; and Project (SAG3)(client: PT Freeport Indonesia or "PTFI"). Prepare and interpret scale drawings, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aid; produce complex drawings that meet client specifications, in 2D and 3D formats. Mentor other Advance Steel Technicians and Junior Mechanical Designers. Understand "Good Engineering Practices" for industry standards and routinely provide suggestions and feedback on drawings to aid in drafting development, problem solving, and solutions for the client incorporate best business practices or that are innovative. Support design efforts with detailed dimensional calculations to verify configurations and layouts. Gather information and produce drawings for specific projects, review drawings for accuracy, revise and update drawings for approval by customers, and prepare drawings for release to fabrication. Communicate with Supervisors, Managers and Engineers on project operations. Interpret and analyze technical reports and specifications. Interact with clients and vendors to accomplish project goals. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus 2 years experience as mechincal engineer. Alternate requirement 4 years experience in position above. Experience to include at least 2 years working knowledge of: 2D & 3D drawing software including AutoCad, Ad-vance Steel, Autodesk Inventor and bulk material handling industry and equipment.
