Kelly Goodman, NP & Associates, PC is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support an established and well-respected Medical Office in the Bethesda/DC area. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support and assistance to the Nurse Practitioner, and performing administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Interviews patients about medical conditions.
- Assists with the implementation of vaccines based on the guidelines according to the CDC.
- Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
- Collaborates and coordinates medical care with nurse practitioners.
- Prepare rooms and medical equipment.
- Review and maintain medical records.
- Perform EKG and blood draws.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Responds and completes all tasks and emails in the EMR inbox by end of each business day.
- Responsible for follow up on diagnostic tests and labs ordered for the patient.
- Performs administrative roles, including not limited to answering patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, and checking patients-in/out.
- Experience in medical field and knowledge of EHR and HIPPA
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant (ie. CMA, AAMA, RMA) required
- Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association or American Red cross required
- Bachelor of Science in related field preferred
Compensation:
- Salary - $23/HR - $25/HR based on meeting requirements and experience

Schedule/Hours
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday- Thursday
- 8:00AM - 1:00pm Saturday
