The Senior Network Support Analyst implements, maintains standards and procedures to protect the integrity and availability of information systems data network. The position is responsible for 3rd level operational network support, including the implementation of hardware and operating systems per the client’s network policy. The Senior Network Support Analyst provides timely responses to support requests from business units, developers, and administrators, including project support. The role requires participation in a 24-hour on-call support schedule to resolve network issues. Additionally, the analyst is responsible for monitoring the health of data network equipment such as Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPN appliances, and network monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd level operational data network support across 55+ sites and the Data Center network.
- Enhance network automation, simulation, and validation solutions using tools like Ansible, NetMiko, Terraform, Python, Cisco CML, GNS3, etc.
- Maintain and optimize the lifecycle of network infrastructure, including design, requirements collection, solution proposal, automation-based patching, and hardware end-of-life management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and improve processes.
- Inform management of critical issues affecting clients or infrastructure, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with network vendors, Enterprise Architect, and Network Team Lead on network improvements and new technologies.
- Troubleshoot a wide range of network issues including traffic, security, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, LAN/WLAN, and firewalls.
- Coordinate incident resolution with support teams at lower levels.
- Analyze organizational environment and architecture to propose solutions aligning with customer needs.
- Audit third-party providers for compliance with policies.
- Maintain documentation for all network activities.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues within service level agreements.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of core IT concepts, networking, and access control. Cisco CCNP certification (Routing and Switching or Data Center) and experience with Cisco networks. Knowledge of WAN technologies (MPLS), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and supporting technologies (BFD).
Desired Qualifications

- 7-10 years of security analysis, engineering, or operational experience
Additional Experience
Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python, GNS3), Cisco ACI/DNA, LAN, ISE, Wireless LAN & WAN technologies, and full-stack support environments. Familiarity with Arista & Cisco switches, Infoblox IPAM/DHCP, F5 load balancers, SDWAN, NetScout, Wireshark.
Additional Details
This role is hybrid, onsite 3 days/week in Auburn Hills, MI. Travel up to 10%. Physical requirements include lifting 15 pounds, working in noisy environments, and prolonged sitting during travel.
