Description
As a Parts Puller for JC Ford, your strong safety orientation and attention to detail are critical to the smooth production of its products. You'll play a key role in preparing products based on clients' needs, measuring, and other essential tasks. Your day will be fast-paced and satisfyingly productive.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting production needs and kit jobs daily
- Identifying shortages and entering them on the daily shortage report
- Updating the shortage report and clearing shortages
- Notifying the coordinator of any shortages
- Arranging stock parts in specified sequences for assembly
- Loading and unloading trucks and containers
- Storing incoming materials in designated locations
- Uncrating and kitting CTs for production needs
- Sorting and placing materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to pre-determined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product
- Recording all material movements within the warehouse on a spreadsheet
- Having basic knowledge of computers and the MRP system in place
- Complying with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
- Accounting for time and work completed via an online data collection system
- Respecting all JC Ford policies and practices
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times
Experience and Background:
- Competency in basic shop math
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings
- Basic Excel skills
- Flexibility and responsiveness with a strong teamwork orientation
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to work well with others and participate in cross-functional teams
