Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in Woodside, California. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will oversee and manage the payroll process for a growing workforce of hourly and salaried employees. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you'll play an essential role in ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance while contributing to a collaborative workplace.
Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now.
Review and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Collaborate with HR and other departments to streamline payroll workflows and support seasonal workforce increases.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and ensure adherence to all applicable laws.
Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in managing payroll tax filings and reporting requirements.
Support the implementation and improvement of payroll-related systems and processes.
Partner with HR to ensure seamless integration of employee benefits with payroll. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience processing payroll, preferably with ADP Workforce Now.
Strong familiarity with full-cycle payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and best practices.
Proficiency with accounting software systems and payroll platforms.
Previous experience in a non-profit organization is a plus.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills for addressing employee inquiries.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
