RAYUS Radiology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our team. We aim to innovate in radiology and make it a crucial part of diagnosis and treatment. Join us and shine brighter together!
As a PET/CT Technologist, you will operate scanners to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies, providing patient-centered care with excellent customer service. You will guide patients through the process, addressing their questions and concerns.
This is a part-time position (30-39 hours/week), working Monday through Saturday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patient PET/CT Imaging (90%)
- Screen patients for precautions or contradictions, using two identifiers for accuracy.
- Explain procedures and prepare patients for imaging, ensuring proper positioning.
- Perform routine and advanced PET/CT scans with minimal supervision, supporting patients throughout.
- Adjust scan parameters and utilize dose reduction techniques as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and referring physicians.
- Follow physician orders and safety regulations.
- Accurately record patient data in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keep work area safe, clean, and organized.
- Maintain accreditation standards and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals per regulations and departmental policies.
- Administer FDG intravenously to patients.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- Report contamination incidents to Radiation Safety Officer.
- Update imaging protocols and manage software upgrades.
- Monitor and request supplies as needed.
- Assist in training new staff.
- Conduct quality control procedures on equipment.
- Perform radiation safety surveys to ensure compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- NMTCB or ARRT registered in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program.
- State licensure as a Radiological Technologist, if applicable.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience performing PET/CT procedures independently.
- Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual abilities.
- ARRT certification in CT.
- NMTCB PET Specialty certification.
