Overview
Capital Kids Dentistry is seeking an outstanding individual to join our team as the Practice Manager who will oversee our office in Washington, DC.
The Practice Manager enthusiastically leads and manages the overall operations of the practice, supports the company mission, develops a high-performing team, and cultivates positive relationships with providers and team members.
The Practice Manager contributes to the practice's success by effectively executing the company’s business model; promoting the company culture, mission, and values; and ensuring compliance with all key programs, initiatives, and audits.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and manages practice operations, including key performance measures, revenue, and expenses with a weekly outlook.
- Achieves yearly patient visit, revenue, and P&L goals.
- Acts as a positive role model and demonstrates leadership.
- Creates a respectful, open, and collaborative workplace environment.
- Ensures high standards of performance and behavior from self and team.
- Maintains a patient-focused approach and fosters strong patient relationships.
- Manages clinical staffing schedules for proper coverage and patient flow.
- Participates in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Coaches and develops team members to improve skills and performance.
- Addresses conflicts early, provides feedback, and documents coaching.
- Ensures clear communication with partner doctors and staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of supervisory/management experience, including P&L oversight.
- Leadership skills to build, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Dental System software.
- Ability to improve operations to benefit patient experience and efficiency.
- Knowledge of OSHA, CDC, ADA, and HIPAA standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous dental experience, preferably in pediatrics.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in management/leadership training.
