Boston Engineering seeks an experienced Principal Robotics Software Engineer.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Develop solutions from the specification phase through the final delivery and acceptance testing
Approach designs from a system perspective
Lead the software development of complex robotics systems
Research and quickly learn new technologies

Acted as a software systems engineer on complex robotics projects
Contributions to Open Source software
Localization algorithms
Behavior Trees
Path Planning for mobile robots, arm manipulation
Simulation environments such as Gazebo
Reports to: Director, Software Engineering
Location: Office based role in Waltham, MA four (4) days a week

Do you have these qualifications?
Eight to twelve plus years of experience
Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science
Expert in Robotics (ROS2)
Expert in software systems architecture and design
Comfortable acting in a customer-facing role
Experience with Linux
Fluency in technical oversight, mentoring, and review of project work efforts from junior-level engineering personnel
Ability to oversee and conduct project design reviews, identification of project risks, and development of risk mitigation strategies and approaches
Expert using Git
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
No relocation

Salary Range: The final salary offer will be based on individual education, skills, and experience.
