Procurement Manager
Location: Erlanger, KY | Travel: Up to 25% (as needed)
We are seeking a skilled and strategic Procurement Manager to lead all purchasing activities in support of aviation production and delivery operations. This role is responsible for managing a procurement team across multiple locations, building strong supplier relationships, and developing sourcing strategies that ensure material availability and cost optimization. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, contract negotiation, and supply chain expertise, particularly in regulated or high-complexity industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage sources of supply for aviation and avionics-related materials and technology.
- Lead supplier selection and negotiation efforts, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Establish and manage long-term supplier agreements, securing competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Analyze current spend patterns and supplier performance; identify opportunities for consolidation and improvement.
- Evaluate bids, negotiate delivery schedules, and manage contract compliance.
- Monitor industry trends and supply market dynamics to proactively manage risk and opportunity.
- Guide and support a distributed purchasing team to meet production schedules and delivery requirements.
- Drive supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and payment.
- Support the professional development and performance management of procurement staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of procurement experience, ideally in aviation, aerospace, or other regulated industries.
- Proven track record of cost savings, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP and procurement systems.
