Role Overview
The Impact Story Lab Producer I develops and produces a diverse portfolio of media for National Geographic’s Museum of Exploration. Under the supervision of the Sr. Producer, this role involves creating video, photo, and emerging media content, managing projects from development to delivery, and ensuring all media reflects National Geographic’s standards and project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Producing and Editing: Produce and edit media that meet high standards, develop creative ideas, and execute projects through all production phases.
- Project Management: Manage all aspects of production, coordinate logistics, oversee team members, ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery, and properly archive assets.
- Creative and Technical Production: Execute hands-on production tasks including photography, videography, audio recording, editing, graphics, and music composition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in media production or related subjects.
- 4+ years media production experience with at least 1 year at the producer level.
- Proficiency in media disciplines, including writing, cinematography, editing, or graphics.
- Knowledge of science, geography, culture, and conservation topics.
- Experience with media workflows, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Additional Information
This position has no direct reports. The salary range is $77,900 - $82,000, with a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and are encouraged to apply even if their experience does not exactly match all listed qualifications. The role is designated as Resident, requiring onsite presence at Base Camp as scheduled.
