Base pay range
$110,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to our clients located throughout the Greater Seattle area and in support of a client in Bellingham, Washington. We are looking for a Project Architect with five (5) or more years of experience in healthcare architecture, licensure required, bachelor’s degree in architecture preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of complex and architecturally demanding projects ranging from small to midsize, from conception stage through construction and completion.
- Focus on Construction Administration with the ability to manage design small to midsize projects.
- Prepare strategic plans for project success, making sure the project team meets quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals.
- Serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and the client’s satisfaction.
- Estimate fees, determine scopes of work, prepare proposals, and write contracts.
- Provide expert input in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
- Lead a team of designers and technical staff, being responsible for the coordination of all project administrative and technical efforts to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
- Adapt building codes, design, and implement creative concepts of architectural layout.
- Organize construction documents and assume responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and management approval of materials and construction.
- Assist in the bidding and contractor selection process.
- Make on-site visits to check on project status.
- Coordinate with construction representatives.
- Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
- Establish and sustain client relations, participate in assessing and hiring architectural or engineering advisers, and collaborate with governmental agencies.
- Observe project performance and coordinate workload through the entire project to complete documents on schedule.
- Study the financial aspect of projects.
- Occasional travel to our main office in southern California and to our client location in Bellingham, WA.

- Washington healthcare experience preferred.
- Previous experience with Washington Health Authority regulations.
- Knowledge of statewide hospital design regulations.
- Knowledge of building codes and a willingness to learn.
- Prior experience in Construction Administration is ideal.
