Project Engineer

Main Function

To provide and manage the engineering input on specific projects and to support the Senior Engineer.

Key Functional Areas

1. To provide cost-effective and innovative design solutions in a timely manner.
2. To ensure that individual projects run smoothly from an engineering perspective.
3. To keep the Technical Director informed of key issues.
4. To be able to act upon instructions from the Technical Director.
5. To always work in compliance with the relevant CDM regulations and fulfil the gateways contained within the Miller Homes CDM tracker.
6. To adhere to all relevant processes and procedures at all times.

Key Capabilities Required

(1) Skills, Capabilities, and Attributes

1. Ability to design, manage, and supervise projects, ensuring that external consultants and subcontractors understand their brief and provide their input in a clear, timely, and cost-effective manner.
2. Ability to evaluate reports and provide cost-effective design solutions for land appraisals and land purchases.

1. Ability to take instructions and act upon them promptly and positively.

(3) Knowledge, Experience, and Qualification

1. Qualified to HNC/HND level with a sound knowledge of engineering issues encountered by house-builders.
2. Strong communication and presentation skills.
3. Awareness of emerging legislation and its impact on the business.
