Job Description:
As a Project Manager at DME, you will play a crucial role in supporting our diverse portfolio of projects in Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Higher Education markets. Working under the guidance of our industry leading Senior Staff, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a project leader, project manager or project executive for design and OPM projects.
2. Establish workflows and sequences to ensure projects remain on track. This includes tracking of owner budgets, schedules and programmatic goals via regular reports.
3. Provide on-site supervision for the installation of MEP systems in active project sites.
4. Serve as a point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
5. Support site visits and field verification for on-going and new projects.
6. Manage internal DME design resources and projects.
7. Contribute to the creation of DME standard workflows and documents for project management.
8. Construction administration submittal and RFI review/response.
9. Field Support: Assist as required in site visits for new projects, existing conditions documentation, laser scanning/modeling, and construction punch lists.
10. Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure project goals are met.
11. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to contribute fresh ideas and enhance your professional development.
Qualifications:
1. 3-5 years of construction management and/or project controls experience, or relevant experience in mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction and/or engineering experience.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
4. Eagerness to learn and work hard.
5. Bonus: Proficiency in Project Management software (MS Office, MS Project, Procore, etc.)
