Position Overview
We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in heavy civil construction and site development to manage projects from pre-construction through completion. This role requires a proactive leader who is highly organized, communicates effectively, and can ensure all aspects of a project are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from estimating handoff to close-out for site development and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with superintendents, estimators, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
- Review plans and specifications to identify scope, potential risks, and required resources.
- Obtain and manage permits, inspections, and utility coordination with local municipalities (Orange County, Osceola County, City of Orlando).
- Lead project meetings, maintain project documentation, and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Resolve project issues, changes, and delays while maintaining client satisfaction and contract compliance.
- Ensure jobsite safety protocols and quality standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil, land development, or site work construction.
- Strong understanding of grading, utility installation, erosion control, and paving operations.
- Proven experience working with municipal codes and permitting in Central Florida.
- Proficient with construction software and tools (Microsoft Office, scheduling tools; familiarity with Agtek is a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple projects, subcontractors, and field personnel concurrently.
- Exceptional problem-solving, budgeting, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working both in-office and on job sites to oversee project progress and coordination.
Preferred Experience
- Background managing commercial site development projects from $100K–$4M.
- Familiarity with Agtek, GPS site modeling, or digital takeoff tools.
- Experience interfacing directly with city/county officials and managing inspections.
