Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in financial services and banking to lead complex, high-risk projects. In this role, you will manage medium to large-scale projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for project intake, planning, execution, and post-production support while fostering long-term client relationships.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in financial services, banking, or payment processing project management.
- Strong knowledge of project management processes and methodologies.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Project Management Tools, such as MS Project, Clarity, Jira and Agile frameworks.
- PMP Certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Project Management:
- Lead the implementation of financial and banking products, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to execution, delivery, and post-production support.
- Work directly with Fiserv clients and external customers to ensure successful project completion.
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, dependencies, and risk management strategies.
- Define project governance, outlining roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.
- Monitor and control project performance, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Stakeholder & Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring alignment between business needs and project outcomes.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, working with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.
- Provide regular project status updates, ensuring visibility and proactive issue resolution.
- Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth execution.
- Lead problem-solving efforts, providing technical consultation and decision-making support.
- Implement change control processes to manage scope changes effectively.
- Leadership & Team Coordination:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring clarity on goals and responsibilities.
- Actively engage in cross-business unit collaboration, driving the One Fiserv Objective across all related areas.
- Prepare and deliver formal and informal presentations to stakeholders and executive leadership.
