GOAL:
Mahindra North America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver key projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. JOB RESPONSILIBITIES:
- Project Planning and Initiation: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Project Execution and Management: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities. Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, track progress, and proactively manage project risks and issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate project status, updates, and potential roadblocks effectively. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are delivered within allocated financial resources. Identify and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Identify and mitigate potential delays, and adjust plans as needed.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address challenges to minimize impact on project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements. Implement quality control processes and monitor outcomes.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze project performance.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance, support, and motivation to project team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Project Closure: Formalize project closure, including final deliverables, lessons learned documentation, and stakeholder sign-off. Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management, successfully leading and delivering projects of increasing complexity.
- Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- PMP certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
