Position: Project Manager - RWA
Duration: thru 12/31/2025 (Possibility of extension or conversion)
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid - 3 Days/ Week Onsite)
The candidate needs to be a strong PM with solution delivery and market product experience.
Candidates need to demonstrate thorough understanding of project management and banking product knowledge
- Want candidates with varied backgrounds: ex-consultants, middle office, and ex-product control who have been successful in similar roles.
- Must project managers experience in remediation within markets, specifically focusing on capital and RWA (Risk-Weighted Assets).
- Ideal candidates come from front office business management, COO roles, or finance transformation positions, rather than pure technology or second line risk roles.
- Important skills include problem-solving and driving solutions with the ability to bring relevant bank stakeholders together.
- Candidates should demonstrate execution and problem-solving rather than just program governance and coordination.
- Need cands w/ stable career tenures, cautioning against those with frequent short-term engagements.
- Product knowledge is more important than specific product control experience
- Prefer familiarity with core banking products
What You Will Be Doing
- Support the Program Initiative lead(s) to drive execution of strategic deliverables
- Lead or participate in working groups, workshops and with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project plans and manage timelines
- Impart subject matter expertise by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with program strategy
- Assist in ensuring that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level
- Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control and Technology teams
- Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
- Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise
- Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
- Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
