Quality Engineer – Program Support
Overview:
As a Quality Engineer, you will oversee all quality aspects of assigned programs, ensuring internal performance objectives are met, serving as the primary customer interface, and supporting supplier quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage program milestones and track key objectives.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of non-conforming material and evaluate in-process rejections.
- Oversee drawing control, CCB reviews, and customer notifications for document changes.
- Perform final test data package reviews before shipment to verify compliance with specifications.
- Drive supplier quality issue resolution in collaboration with QC, Purchasing, and Engineering teams.
- Interface with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure ISO/AS9100 compliance.
- Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives with interdisciplinary teams.
- Analyze manufacturing performance, identify trends, and recommend quality improvements.
- Provide training and mentorship to support quality functions.
- Deliver oral and visual presentations during technical meetings.
- Support additional quality objectives as directed by the Quality Director.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in a technical field preferred, with 4–6 years of quality assurance experience.
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, ISO/AS9100, SPC, or ASQ (preferred).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience interfacing with DCMA or other government QA agencies.
- Knowledge of design phase activities, manufacturing test and evaluation, and electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with government and commercial quality specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related software applications.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (may involve handling classified data).
- Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional travel.
- Capable of performing occasional manual tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, dust, chemicals, and moving machinery.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $70,500 - $130,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
