Reporting to the Manager, Ops, Safety and Compliance, the Representative, Ops, Safety and Compliance will be responsible for supporting and monitoring the Environmental, Health and Safety program for the unit with focus on prevention and control of occupational injury and illnesses and environmental compliance. A strong focus will be on the exterior to help ensure that all Gate Gourmet procedures are followed per the customers’ requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety training programs in conjunction with the Sr. Compliance Managers and/or Safety Manager, targeting all employees and ensuring compliance with company requirements, including specific training for Transportation Department new CSR and CSA roles.
- Manage the training matrix for the unit.
- Support Safety Managers and review transportation training and manuals regularly to ensure current requirements and compliance.
- Investigate and document all accidents and injuries, determine root causes, and assist management in developing corrective actions.
- Communicate prevention steps via Safety Alerts, Acknowledgement Forms, and Briefings.
- Liaise with clients on safety-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, safety business plans, and best practices through audits and meetings.
- Assist in incident investigations and reporting.
- Support PRIDE and SQUAD teams to promote safety awareness.
- Work towards full OSHA compliance at all times.
- Participate in meetings and briefings regularly.
- Maintain CDL files as required.
- Monitor and improve compliance levels.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in safety and/or risk management, preferably in airline, food processing, or distribution environments.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to interpret OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Hands-on approach with a focus on execution.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Independent problem-solving skills.
- Analytical, enthusiastic, and credible to lead change.
- High integrity standards.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent presentation and training abilities.
Job Dimensions:
Unit-based geographic responsibility, full-time employment, 10-25% travel, exempt status.
