Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Remote Pharmacy Technician to join our team! In this role, you will primarily make calls on behalf of various clinics, providing essential support with professionalism and a positive attitude. Responsibilities
Make 80-85 inbound calls daily with professionalism and efficiency.
Assist patients in rescheduling appointments and ensuring smooth coordination.
Communicate important notes and updates from doctors to patients.
Adhere to established policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Accurately document patient interactions and maintain general notation records.
Conduct follow-ups and update patient information through data entry.
Process Electronic Refill Scripts (ERX) with accuracy and efficiency.
Order labs and relay lab results to the appropriate healthcare providers.
Manage scheduled follow-ups and triage patient concerns with care and professionalism.
Provide support in a contact center environment, ensuring a positive patient experience.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician.
Bilingual - Spanish (Preferred)
Proven experience in a high call volume environment.
Pharmacy Technician Certification or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Athena.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical support.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Medical Assisting diploma or certification is preferred.
Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.
High School Diploma required.
Experience in prior authorization and insurance billing.
Work Environment
This is a remote position that requires handling over 200 calls daily. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
