Responsibilities
As a Safety Manager, you are responsible for providing safety leadership, ensuring operational compliance with safety standards, implementing safety directives, assisting management to improve safety performance, and helping align safety policies and procedures with regulations. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.
Compensation: $85k-90k/yr
Travel: 20%
Safety experience Mandatory
In addition, you will:
- Develop and support the creation of a safety and compliance strategy and goals
- Ensure site management has appropriate activity-based goals to drive safety culture, compliance, and results
- Supervise, lead, and mentor safety and compliance staff
- Develop safety and compliance programs and policies to meet operational goals and reduce injuries
- Communicate safety strategies to leadership
- Support implementation of safety programs
- Design metrics to track progress and drive accountability
- Implement Occupational, Health & Safety Management System
- Coordinate with vendors for hazardous waste management and SDS system
- Develop audit processes and identify compliance gaps
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Train supervisors and management on safety issues
- Ensure regulatory compliance and interpret changes
- Display problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Act as a change leader and promote continuous safety improvements
- Provide safety advice and mentoring
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Associate's degree or equivalent
- Five (5) years of supervisory safety experience
- Knowledge of construction or telecommunications/electrical/gas industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read maps, drawings, diagrams
- Strategic thinker and leader
- Strong knowledge of regulations
- Maintain confidentiality
