We are currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Sales Project Manager . In this role, you will provide support for Geosynthetic, Erosion & Sediment Control, and Stormwater projects in California. The role would ideally be based out of either our Poway, Santa Anna, or Valencia offices with occasional on-site client visits.
Daily activities include assisting with sales, project scope, specs, and requirements, monitoring project progress, recommending products and ensuring timely delivery, vendor coordination, and ensuring achievements are met. Responsibilities:
Sales Administration:
Work collaboratively with Outside Sales Representatives, Operations, and Management to fulfill customer expectations while driving profitable sales growth.
Engage diligently in our "Dial for Dollars" initiatives to maximize outreach.
Prepare accurate sales quotes and proposals on time.
Ensure the meticulous processing of sales orders, invoices, and contracts.
Provide essential technical assistance to customers as needed.
Organize, manage, and ensure accessibility of sales documentation for team use.
Promote our products actively through innovative marketing efforts.
Create project specific submittals for contractor or engineering customers.
Setup job accounts with local credit team for new and existing customers.
Research & summarize regional regulations that drive demand for own brand or exclusive products.
Conduct design review for opportunities to ensure the Ferguson design meets customers expectations
Customer Relationship Management:
Enter and maintain precise customer information in our CRM system, ensuring data integrity.
Track and document customer interactions, following up as necessary to nurture relationships.
Ensure consistent accuracy and updates within the CRM system.
Communication and Coordination:
Maintain effective communication with internal departments to ensure a streamlined sales process and prompt product delivery.
Develop strong customer relationships, acting as a liaison for communication.
Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries and requests from the sales team.
Collaborate with SPC, Operations Manager, Branch Manager, and Geo leadership to align on objectives.
Operational/Logistics Support:
Oversee Geo inventory management, ensuring appropriate stock levels, accurate labeling, and timely order processing.
Coordinate with branch associates to facilitate accurate and punctual customer deliveries.
Manage interbranch transfers and intercompany orders efficiently.
Handle sample shipments and organize product demonstrations to enhance our customer engagement.
Other Duties:
Participate in mandatory training programs and stay informed of product knowledge and industry best practices in sales.
Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
Assist team with special projects and tasks as required.
Identify areas for process improvement to streamline and enhance sales operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience (1-3 years) in sales support, project management, administrative, or customer service role.
Prior experience with site work construction-related projects or products, strongly preferred
Prior use of CRM Salesforce preferred
Experience reading blueprints, building plans or drawings, highly preferred
Proven attention to detail coupled with interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams)
Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests
Self-starter, creative problem solver, and self-sufficient
Strong time-management skills and ability to function optimally without daily oversight from management

-Pay Range:
-$5,175.00 - $11,173.80
-Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
-This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
