As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Germantown, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.
As a Front Desk Security Officer, you will be stationed at the main entrance, greeting visitors and assisting with access control to help to deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit activity, responding to alarms, and providing clear communication and exceptional customer service to all guests and staff. You will utilize computer or tablet systems as part of your daily tasks. Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of security-related incidents and daily activities.
Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and emergency personnel as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 2 years of security experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
