DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Data Analyst to lead complex data analysis initiatives and provide critical insights that drive our mission. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in working with large-scale datasets, including graph networks and batch processing of billions of data points. You will have a proven track record of effectively handling unstructured and unclean data, architecting robust data pipelines, and leveraging technologies such as Python, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Airflow, and various visualization tools. As a senior member of our team, you will be expected to lead analytical projects, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to the overall data strategy of the organization.
Day-to-day responsibilities and duties include:
- Lead the analysis of complex and massive datasets, including intricate graph networks, to uncover critical patterns, trends, and actionable intelligence.
- Architect and oversee batch processing analysis of datasets involving multiples of billions of datapoints, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement advanced techniques for handling unstructured and unclean data, establishing robust data cleaning, preprocessing, and standardization methodologies.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage using industry best practices.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Python for advanced data manipulation, statistical analysis, and the development of analytical tools and scripts.
- Lead the utilization of distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Apache Flink for high-performance data analysis and processing at scale.
- Design and implement efficient data workflow orchestration and scheduling using tools like Apache Airflow and Apache Beam.
- Utilize Jupyter Notebook extensively for complex exploratory data analysis, advanced prototyping, and the clear documentation of methodologies and findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategically employ a variety of sophisticated visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, advanced Python libraries, Grafana) to effectively communicate complex data insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, and leadership teams to understand strategic objectives and translate them into impactful data-driven solutions.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and implement rigorous data validation processes.
- Mentor and guide junior data analysts, fostering their technical growth and analytical skills.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of the organization's data strategy and analytical frameworks.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data analysis, big data technologies, and artificial intelligence/machine learning trends.
- Present complex data findings and recommendations to executive leadership in a clear and concise manner.
REQUIREMENTS:

- have at least 2 years of Data Analysis experience and have a good understanding of professional business environments.

Pay: From $89,000 per year excluding bonus and benefits.

- The schedule for this position is project driven and can be highly variable depending on project deadlines and the specific needs of the software development teams.
