Job Description:
ERG is seeking a senior-level candidate to support Clean Water Act-related environmental efforts throughout the United States. The position involves providing technical expertise and high-quality service across the federal and state water sector to help improve the environment and public health. This is a part-time role with a flexible work environment, including options for remote or hybrid work associated with our Chantilly, Virginia office. Responsibilities:
- Support for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and related water programs, especially in the western U.S. and territories.
- Knowledge of stormwater permitting (including MS4s), TMDLs, water reuse, water quality standards, tribal programs, and training is highly desirable.
- Research and analysis of state programs or documents, development of technical reports, and creation of guidance and training materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Over 20 years of experience in the water sector.
- Well-versed in EPA and state policies and programs.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, Public Policy, or related discipline.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
