Senior Finance Analyst
Location: Washington, DC (On-site, Full-Time)
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 base + bonus (7.5–10%) + equity
A publicly traded biopharmaceutical company based in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join its high-caliber finance team. This organization is dedicated to advancing innovative medicines through cutting-edge research, with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia.
This role offers strong executive visibility, including regular interaction with the CFO, and plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting corporate SG&A functions such as legal, sales, and finance. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and brings a solid foundation in public accounting and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for multiple SG&A departments
- Present financial performance to the CFO and other senior leaders
- Manage month-end close and contribute to quarterly reporting
- Support SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q) and ensure SOX compliance
- Participate in procurement reviews and contract negotiations
- Conduct technical accounting research and assist with audit preparation
Qualifications:
- CPA required, with a minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience
- At least 1 year at the Senior Associate level in a Big 4 accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX 404
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
- Prior experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry is a plus
