Duties: Study the composition, structure, and other physical aspects of
the earth. Use geological, physics, and mathematics knowledge in exploration for minerals. Operate as part of centralized resource modeling team and produce resource models for projects across North American region. Produce reports in line with internal policy and procedures for mineral resources and ore reserve estimation. Apply advanced techniques to build resource model estimates with mine geologists, mining engineers, and metallurgists. Provide technical input into the collection of geological and assaying data. Support and provide training and mentoring to junior personnel. Ensure models developed across assigned region consistently deliver timely and predictable outcomes for the business.Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within reasonable
commuting distance.The base pay range for this position in Denver, CO is $133,540 to
$143,540 per year plus standard company benefits.Requirements: Position requires a bachelor's degree in Geology,
Geological Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience.Must include some experience in each of the following:
Applied mathematics for resource estimation (linear and non-linear
estimation methods) and 3D visualization tools.Creating and editing Python scripting, modifying software, and writing
code using RMSP tools.Using deposit modeling software (Vulcan) for geologic and resource
modeling to develop surface and underground resource models.Conducting exploratory data analysis and variography using Snowden
Supervisor.Converting and migrating models to and from diverse mining software
