Overview: This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. kglobal, a Washington, D.C.-based strategic communications firm specializing in public affairs, public relations, marketing, branding, and crisis management, is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our creative team at a high-profile government agency. This role will provide graphic design and illustration support on behalf of a civilian client. Ideal candidates will also have an active secret security clearance and previous experience with design for the federal government. We would love to see your work! Responsibilities
- Contribute to the tactical execution of visual campaigns.
- Design materials for traditional print, large-format print, and digital projects for a variety of media, including flyers, brochures, fact sheets, posters, exhibits, banners, newsletters, infographics, articles, web banners, and videos.
- Assist with art direction and copyediting.
- Collaborate with a creative team including other graphic designers, writers, and public affairs specialists.
- Conceptualize, design, and develop unique communication products to help tell the customer’s story.
- Maintain and update graphics library of templates, guidance documents, and photos.

Working Environment
The primary work location is on a government site in Washington, D.C. Off-site work may be permitted on a case-by-case basis but is not guaranteed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Effective communication skills with customers.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Energetic, passionate, and curious.
- Understanding of basic web design, content management, troubleshooting, and website maintenance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Research skills to implement new techniques and tools.
- AFPIMS certification is preferred but not required.
Experience / Skills
- 8–12 years of relevant design experience, preferably in a federal or military setting.
- Proficiency in creating, designing, formatting, editing, and maintaining print and digital media.
- Experience with large-media print projects such as banners, signage, and exhibits.
