Description
RER Solutions, Inc. is accepting resumes for Senior Investment Officer to become a part of our workforce in Washington, DC. The Senior Investment Officer will provide onsite and remote federal program leadership.
Responsibilities
- Perform or lead a team performing credit analysis of new loan guarantee applications, including detailed credit analysis, financial modeling, credit assessments, and risk analysis associated with projects.
- Determine whether projects should continue through initial screening and enter due diligence and full underwriting.
- Conduct thorough and complete analysis before presentation to the origination team.
- Prepare necessary documents required through the financial, technical, and environmental review process.
- Ensure that pertinent issues are highlighted and brought to the attention of the Client.
- Work closely with clients to determine if sponsored projects are ready for full-scale commercialization and the initiation of full due diligence and underwriting.
- Prepare presentations and project status dashboards for senior management.
- Handle complex, sensitive, or precedent-setting transactions, ensuring compliance with guidelines and legislation.
- Provide recommendations on project origination based on analysis of technical, economic, legal, marketing, political, and financial feasibility.
- Offer insights on uncertainties in approach, methodology, or interpretation due to program changes, technological developments, or conflicting requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust.
- Expert knowledge of Federal and private sector credit markets, investment analysis, and loan practices.
- Technical knowledge of renewable, clean fossil, and nuclear energy technologies.
- Expertise in federal loan guarantee programs under the Federal Credit Reform Act of 1992.
- Knowledge of financing concepts, principles, techniques, and investment banking related to project financing.
- Ability to analyze complex financial projects and data.
- Knowledge of renewable energy, macroeconomics, investments, banking, and related fields.
- Leadership skills to coordinate professional teams.
- Knowledge of carbon capture and storage methods.
- Ability to develop or finance transportation infrastructure including pipelines and shipping.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
