Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead full-time and consulting engineering teams (onshore/offshore), providing mentorship, onboarding support, and performance management while driving strategic direction for integration platforms and API architecture.
Integration & API Expertise: Bring 8+ years of hands-on experience in integration and API development, with deep knowledge of REST/SOAP, event-driven architectures, API design (OpenAPI), security (OAuth 2.0, API Keys), and platforms like Apigee, Kong, or Mulesoft.
Cloud & Modern Architecture: Leverage 3+ years working with AWS, Azure, or GCP, applying cloud-native integration patterns and technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
Software Development & Delivery: Oversee the full SDLC, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable APIs using Agile practices and CI/CD pipelines in languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration: Communicate project goals, risks, and outcomes effectively across cross-functional teams and manage relationships with business stakeholders and consulting partners.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning while staying abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to improve API performance, security, and scalability.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
Experience in the telecommunications industry
6+ years experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
6+ years experience with performance testing and optimization of APIs and integration flows
Skills and Qualifications:
Familiarity with specific integration platforms relevant to the wireless domain (e.g., billing system integrations, network management system integrations)
Knowledge of data integration tools and techniques
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and their application for automation within software development or data integration
Familiarity with the CAMARA (Common API Management platform for operator APIs) standard and the principles of open network APIs

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $181,500.00/Year
