Position Overview
The Senior Project Planner will oversee all planning aspects for a project, ensuring schedules are created, monitored, and aligned with contractual requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Creating, updating, and monitoring project schedules in P6 independently.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and supporting reporting with the Core Team.
- Providing reports on Critical Path, Earned Value, EAC variances, milestones, KPIs, and labor forecasts.
- Analyzing report data to identify trends, risks, and issues, and collaborating on resolutions.
- Supporting bid processes by assessing tender documents, contractual requirements, risks, and creating schedule narratives.
- Managing progress against baseline schedules and change management processes.
- Interpreting S-Curve outputs and communicating findings effectively.
- Negotiating and influencing with customers and suppliers.
- Connecting various stakeholders and providing insight, especially from complex transit projects.
- Inputting into change management and assessing schedule impacts.
- Participating in risk and opportunity reviews and managing mitigation actions.
- Fostering teamwork and cooperation within the project environment.
- Generating comprehensive reports for management and clients.
- Supporting claims and variation documentation during project execution.
- Mentoring project schedulers and contributing to process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Technology/Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years experience in complex technology projects.
- Expertise in Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to understand and resolve complex technological problems.
- Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently.
- Experience managing schedules with over 1,500 activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of TILOS & Primavera Risk Analysis is advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated salary range: USD $131,000 - $165,000/year. Benefits include health plans, 401(k), holidays, life insurance, and more.
