What is the job?
We are looking for a seasoned Back-End Engineer to join our team as we build cutting-edge, FinTech solutions that cater to diverse end-user scenarios. With significant green space and ambitious growth plans (development team expansion and Series A), you’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact in shaping our tech stack and scaling our systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end systems and APIs using Python and TypeScript.
- Optimize our system's ability to analyze raw data and recreate nuanced, user-specific scenarios.
- Leverage heavy AWS infrastructure along with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
- Contribute to semantic databases and AI-driven insights (experience with OpenAI, Google Gemini, or similar tools is a major plus).
- Implement error handling, coding standards, and scalable architecture for high-quality output.
- Take ownership of greenfield projects, translating business requirements into technical solutions without extensive overhead guidance.
- Collaborate with a small, ambitious team to create impactful technology.
What background are we looking for?
- Experience: 5-15 years as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead. Alternatively, strong startup experience in similar roles.
- Education: While we don’t prioritize school pedigree, notable education and experience or alignment with high-performing technical teams is valued.
- Skills: Proven expertise in back-end development, especially working directly with AI products. Deep familiarity with Python, TypeScript, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and semantic databases.
- Personality: Energetic, self-starter, and go-getter with a "take the reins" attitude.
