About the Role
The Stock Administrator is a critical member of the finance team, responsible for leading and scaling Motive Software’s stock administration as we grow globally. This role involves hands-on, end-to-end management of global equity plans.
Responsibilities
- Administer the company’s global equity plans for all employees and third parties receiving grants. Manage exercise requests and serve as the main contact for equity at Motive Software.
- Collaborate with external legal teams, payroll, HR, and recruiting to support equity-related processes and communications.
- Assist in preparing presentations for the Board of Directors regarding equity pools, grants, and modifications.
- Educate employees on equity awards, company programs, and policies through live presentations.
- Implement best practices with SOX controls, automate routine processes, and ensure accurate and timely data processing.
- Prepare reports and reconciliations to track equity transactions quarterly, including roll-forwards and grant slates.
- Maintain documentation for audits and respond to data requests thoroughly and promptly.
- Handle leave of absence vesting suspensions and other ad hoc duties.
- Prepare annual filings for international employees with equity grants.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in administering global equity plans; 3+ years at pre-IPO organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; CEP Level III preferred.
- Strong knowledge of equity plans and award types.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Carta and/or Shareworks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
