We are currently working with one of the UK's best known multidisciplinary consultancies as they look to add a Senior Structural Design Engineer to their division in Milton Keynes.

Digitalisation is central to their delivery model, enabling clients and stakeholders to experience designs from project concept through detailed drawings, supported by expertise spanning decades, industries, and disciplines. They assist clients in harmonising design drivers through inspired engineering, architecture, and development services.
What you'll be doing:
This role offers an exciting opportunity for career progression as a Senior Structural Engineer within an industry-leading team known for its reputation and expertise across all sectors of the built environment.
Duties:
- Assist the Associate Director / Director in managing the structural engineering team
- Independently manage projects and project teams
- Take financial responsibility for your projects
- Prepare fee quotations and handle invoicing
- Manage staff and other consultants
- Develop the engineering team further
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients
- Conduct site visits, structural surveys, investigations, and repair schemes for issues from fires to foundation problems
Candidate Profile:
To succeed, you should have a degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering, ideally be chartered with ICE, IStructE, or equivalent, or be progressing towards chartership.
Additionally, you will:
- Have experience in designing foundations, masonry, concrete (including detailing), steel, and timber structures to eurocodes
- Be experienced in the residential market, including traditional and framed structures
- Possess market awareness, financial management skills, client development, and ability to assist in project appointments
- Have experience in structural investigations of low-rise residential, medium-rise residential, and commercial properties
- Preferably have experience with structural investigation and reporting related to the 'Building Safety Act'
- Be familiar with Tekla software (Tekla Designer and Tedds) and ideally with AutoCAD/Revit
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to establish authority internally and externally
- Management experience is advantageous
- Be decisive, motivated, proactive, autonomous, and innovative
