Coordinates all aspects of the graduation processes and experiences for Moody College Undergraduate Education, including but not limited to: maintaining graduation-related data, programs and services, executing the annual degree certification processes in spring, summer and fall terms, maintaining the entire graduation application experience in spring, summer and fall terms, and manages the name-calling platform including data collection and management, communications to graduates and event execution of the platform for the spring graduation ceremony. Works in a team-centered approach to executing the Moody College Graduation Ceremony and university-wide commencement activities each spring, collaborating with the Events Coordinator in Undergraduate Education, the Deans Office, Marketing and Communications, University Events and Experience to ensure a high-quality, high-touch, and innovative delivery of this signature event for Moody College.Supports the strategic goals of the Assistant Dean and Director of Advising for academic advising and student support by collecting, maintaining, disseminating and producing Progress Toward Degree (PTD) reports for the academic advising team. Update and maintain the post-academic advising surveys and works with the Director of Advising and Team Leads to identify trends, collect constructive feedback and help inform continual training opportunities. Supports graduation-related petitions and appeals to the college. Receives ongoing cross-training and serves as a back-up in management of student records and front desk operations, as necessary.?Assist the Director of Advising in monitoring student completion of required Communication Foundations courses. Assist with seat management as needed. Provide support to the Student Advising Office by updating advising caseloads after each certification process, updating advising survey, and supporting petitions and appeals. Hold active membership with the Academic Counselors Association (ACA) on campus. Serve on Moody College committees and/or university-wide committees as appropriate. Complete basic academic advising training as well as maintain and stay engaged with new updates, changes and learning opportunities around academic advising to ensure high-level work is produced in the area of graduation success for Moody College undergraduate studentsPartner with stakeholder to remove barriers to graduation success, share data and insights to drive intervention, and develop new strategies for improving persistence and graduation rates for Moody College students. Evaluate efficacy and success of various interventions and share data and reports as requested. Works with the assistant dean and director of advising to engage with and develop innovative strategies to support Moody students who are leavers and/or are returning students.Lead and participate in one or more sections of our Moody Academic Community (MACs) by building community with a small cohort of students, monitoring student mentors, planning weekly lessons, scheduling guest speakers and educating students about campus resources.Serves as an active, positive, and engaged member of the Moody Undergraduate Education staff. Effectively listens, encourages, and supports other team members and students. Acts in an approachable, respectable, and positive manner. Fully participate in all Moody College of Communication signature events and programs which include but are not limited to: Honors Day, Family Weekend, CommUnity and Gone To Texas, Graduation and Commencement events, and Freshman/Transfer Orientation.Other duties as assigned.
