The Site Cybersecurity Manager West Region is a hybrid position with preferred location in Carlsbad, CA or Chandler/Tempe, AZ. Approximately 25% domestic travel is required to support business needs.
Your Role:
As the Site Cybersecurity Manager (SCSM) for our US sites, you will play a pivotal role within the organization to safeguard critical infrastructure and industrial control systems as well asensure integration of security measures within the lifecycle of business applications and products. You will be the primary contact for all cybersecurity issues across our US sites. Your mission is to oversee and implement robust cybersecurity strategies that effectively mitigate cyber risks, ensuring compliance with global standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advisory:Advise and support architecture and engineering staff in the implementation of cybersecurity measures.
- Governance & Strategy Implementation:Drive the implementation of EMD Electronics’ global and cybersecurity governance models, along with the Electronics cybersecurity strategy at the designated sites.
- Cybersecurity Master Plan:Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity master plan for the respective sites, integrating global initiatives and local efforts to improve cybersecurity maturity and addressing risks.
- Continuous Monitoring:Monitor and manage cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities as well as provide support and on-call service for cybersecurity incident management. Create and communicate regular status reports on cybersecurity risks, compliance, incidents, and KPIs to the site leadership as well as the entire cybersecurity organization.
- Assessments & Audits:Conduct regular cybersecurity assessments to identify missing controls and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls. Furthermore, support internal and external cybersecurity audits.
- Compliance:Assist in the identification of local legal, regulatory, and contractual cybersecurity requirements and manage their integration into the cybersecurity control framework.
- Collaboration:Coordinate with global, regional, and local roles to enhance cybersecurity interfaces and practices. Furthermore, actively participate in cybersecurity meetings and events to facilitate information exchange and collaborative problem solving.
- Culture of Awareness:Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness and continuous improvement.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills to assess threats and vulnerabilities effectively.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% within US
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passionate about IT and OT, with a commitment to staying updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
- Experience in cybersecurity risk management.
- Excellent communication skills to influence in a matrixed environment and the ability to collaborate effectively across organizations.
- Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ISO/IEC 27000 series, IEC 62443, and ITIL.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- GICSP, CSX-P or related Cybersecurity certification(s).
- Experience in implementing cybersecurity protection layers for OT and IT.
- Understanding of specific cybersecurity challenges and regulatory requirements in the chemical and semiconductor industries, particularly within production facilities.
Pay Range for this position: $108,100 to $162,100
