Summary
Stampede Ventures, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual with DoD contract experience. The candidate will perform all facets of the Bering Straits East Coast model, including safety management, daily reporting, running multiple sites simultaneously, and other tasks as assigned. This position supports a current contract with various DOD locations and may be extended to additional contracts depending on workload.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage task order projects in the Washington DC region.
- Read drawings / prints.
- Possess safety experience in multi-trade construction projects.
- Know OSHA and EM-385 requirements.
- Enforce corporate or site quality control programs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internally to provide project updates.
- Have knowledge of all aspects of a construction project (electrical, HVAC, Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression, architectural, etc.).
Qualifications - Experience, Education And Certification

- Minimum of 5 years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction, or 3 years if holding a CSP or safety and health degree.
- Completion of the OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Class or equivalent safety and health training.
- Experience on projects exceeding $500,000, especially HVAC and electrically heavy projects.
- Experience working with the USACE.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Current or ability to obtain a security clearance is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Current favorable NACI clearance.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Respectful, trustworthy, ethical, and aligned with organizational values.
- Knowledge of local vendor and subcontractor companies.
- Organized with excellent communication skills.
Physical and Work Environment
The physical demands include bending, stooping, sitting, walking, standing for prolonged periods, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Work involves office and site visits, with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
The role is not safety-sensitive under DOT regulations. No supervisory responsibilities are required. Must pass pre-employment screening and have reliable transportation for site visits and access to military installations.
