Job Title: Sitework Engineer 2
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 1 Year
Hybrid (4 days on-site -- 1 day remote)
Requirements:
- 4–7 years of relevant sitework engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
Responsibilities:
- Provide sitework engineering design services and field support
- Prepare engineering designs and calculations
- Conduct site walk-downs
- Develop cost estimates and material takeoffs
- Provide schedule and staffing input for projects
- Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Apply strong technical writing and Microsoft Office skills on a daily basis
Required Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, including:
- Erosion control best management practices (BMPs)
- Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GA-EPD)
- National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)
- Ability to develop:
- Scope definitions
- Project schedules
- Material takeoffs
- Cost estimates
- Coordination with multidisciplinary teams to produce design documents
- Strong knowledge or certification in:
- Erosion and sediment control
- Stormwater drainage and hydrology design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for sitework design
- Prior experience in civil sitework construction is a plus
- Working knowledge of sitework design principles, with the ability to produce accurate grading plan sets
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to build effective relationships with:
- Internal stakeholders (project management, construction, maintenance, and design engineering staff)
- External stakeholders (architects, contractors, and vendors)
