CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation Company, is seeking a Mid-level Software Developer to develop, create, maintain, and modify computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs.
Active TS/SCI Clearance Required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the development of new or modified applications.
- Assess user needs and software requirements for feasibility within time and cost constraints.
- Apply coding and testing standards, conduct security testing, and perform code reviews.
- Document code and development processes clearly.
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and programmers to design applications and evaluate project limitations.
- Evaluate hardware-software interfaces and correct errors.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
- Develop secure code and error handling procedures.
- Determine hardware configurations considering reporting needs, security, and cost.
- Identify common coding flaws at a high level.
Required Skills:
- Conduct vulnerability scans and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Debug software effectively.
- Create and utilize mathematical or statistical models.
- Develop programs handling multiple inputs and command-line arguments.
- Design security countermeasures and develop access controls.
- Assess security needs of information systems and networks.
- Write code in supported languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, C#, R).
- Manage data in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Apache Kafka).
- Design secure test plans and incorporate PKI encryption.
- Develop error logging and handling mechanisms.
- Use code analysis tools like HP Fortify and WebInspect.
- Perform root cause analysis and incident investigations.
- Apply cybersecurity principles related to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Proficient with source control (Git) and IDEs (Eclipse, Visual Studio, JupyterLab).
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency with Agile tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AWS CLI and services.
- Strong communication skills.
Required Experience:
- US citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph eligibility.
- IAT Level 2 certification.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant fields.
- Availability for travel within and outside the US.
