Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for contributing to the development of an enterprise portal serving 1M users. Participate in agile delivery teams to produce new features that deliver features with high quality and reliability. Assist other developers in owned components and other fundamental expertise areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the existing system by updating and fixing reported issues.
- Perform unit and integration testing of software, troubleshooting and debugging of the system.
- Responsible for development of software design documentation and test scenarios.
- Participate in software peer reviews.
- Seek and participate in personal development opportunities to maintain a detailed knowledge of industry standards, engineering best practices, and business needs.
- Provide technical leadership of project components or features.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical Science (e.g. Engineering).
- Two plus (2+) years of industry experience.
- Experience with design, development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and debugging of web applications.
- Experience with software development tools and technology such as Docker, Nexus, Git, Gradle, Groovy, Gogo Shell, IntelliJ IDEA, Fortify.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (generally, this requires U.S. Citizenship).
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Strong understanding of concepts in Computer Science (data structures, run time, common algorithms).
- Experienced debugger who can put out fires under pressure when things go wrong in production environments.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working with various skill sets including other developers and system engineers.
- Upbeat and passionate about computer programming.
- Organized and efficient with ability to document all stages of the design solutions.
- Experience in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Web service, React, or Mobile Code development experience is a plus.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
The expected travel time is less than 10%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 10 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE
- Pay range: $80,000to $110,000per year.
