As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology division, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support business needs
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations
Optimize and enhance existing Tableau solutions for improved performance and usability
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all Tableau visualizations
Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau functionalities and best practices
Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry trends to continuously improve solutions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep
Experience with SQL and data modeling
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI or QlikView
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R
Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
Experience in Agile development methodologies
