Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Daniel Island, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle key accounting processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in financial reporting and account management.
Responsibilities:
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
Manage balance sheet reconciliations and identify discrepancies for resolution.
Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records.
Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper classification of financial transactions.
Prepare and post journal entries as part of daily and monthly accounting processes.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and analyze financial reports.
Lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Monitor and maintain accounting records to ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and other financial reviews. Requirements - Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
Strong understanding of balance sheet and bank reconciliation practices.
Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
